Born in Montreal, Quebec and educated at Carleton University (Ottawa), Algonquin College (Pembroke) and the Tourism Trade Institute (Vancouver), I am also the wife of a regular force military veteran. I have lived in many places in Canada but since 1997 South West Ontario has been my home. I am a classically trained pianist and taught children on military bases for 11 years. My main work experience is in hotel front office management where I gained extensive experience assessing and managing client needs.
I am passionate about giving back to my community and over the years have fundraised for Heart and Stroke, the Canadian Cancer Society, and our local homeless shelter to name a few. I recently volunteered at our local music festival which was a new and exciting challenge. On top of my history of volunteering in politics, I have a history of volunteering in my community, having twice been awarded the Ontario Volunteer Service Award, once for volunteering with individuals who have cognitive challenges, and once for working for people with food insecurity.
Now I want to take that forward to encourage all women to look at a career in politics.
